⟹  \implies

⟹ — implies

Read "implies" or "therefore". If the left side is true, the right side follows.

A  ⟹  BA \implies B says that whenever AA holds, BB holds too. It does not work backwards: BB being true does not by itself make AA true.

Example

θ=90∘  ⟹  cos⁡θ=0\theta = 90^\circ \implies \cos\theta = 0

Perpendicular vectors therefore have a dot product of zero.
